THE NEW DEVICE THAT TAKES FLIGHT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Austrian wingsuit pilot Peter Salzmann has set three new world records in a single, exceptionally long flight. Equipped with an innovative wingsuit featuring foil technology, Salzmann achieved a flight time of 5 minutes and 56 seconds, covering a distance of 12.5 kilometers and descending 3,402 meters from Jungfrau mountain in Switzerland.

This breakthrough in wingsuit design, developed in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, includes a 2.1-meter wing that significantly enhances gliding efficiency, allowing for longer and faster flights.

With this achievement, Salzmann has not only pushed the boundaries of human flight but also opened up new possibilities for the future of aerial sports.

XIAOMI SU7: AUTONOMOUS TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION

The Xiaomi SU7 stands out not only for its design and power but also for its advanced autonomous capabilities. With systems like Xiaomi Pilot Pro and Pilot Max, this car can handle complex maneuvers, such as lane changes, adapting to curves, and avoiding obstacles. But the most impressive feature is its autonomous parking function: it navigates through underground parking lots, finds an empty spot, and parks with precision, like having a valet in your pocket.

The "Xiaomi Pilot" system comes in two versions. Xiaomi Pilot Pro, available on the base model of the SU7, uses an NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chip with 84 TOPS* of power, along with 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and a front millimeter-wave radar. This technology enables features like automatic lane changing, speed control, and congestion prevention.

For the more advanced versions, Xiaomi Pilot Max takes things to the next level. This system adds a LiDAR sensor, two rear millimeter-wave radars, and a pair of NVIDIA DRIVE Orin processors, delivering a total of 508 TOPS* of processing power. It enables complex maneuvers, such as multi-level obstacle avoidance and autonomous parking in urban settings.

TRUMP SCREWING IN FRONT OF TRUMP TOWER

Alison Jackson is a British artist known for her photographs and videos that recreate intimate scenes of public figures using look-alikes, exploring the fine line between reality and fiction in celebrity culture. In 2016, Jackson staged a performance in New York featuring a Trump look-alike surrounded by women in bikinis, sparking media attention and debate about the public perception of political leaders.

In November 2020, Jackson unveiled an art installation on Brewery Street, Soho, London, depicting figures of Trump and a woman in an explicit scene on a table. This piece was part of her direct critique of Trump (she seems somewhat obsessed with him). The installation was eventually removed by authorities due to its controversial content.

This past week, she’s been taking that same piece around the streets of New York, leaving it right in front of Trump Tower at 725 Fifth Avenue until the police showed up to remove it.

PUT DOWN YOUR PHONE AND ENJOY THE MOMENT

These days, it feels like we live through our phone screens instead of with our eyes and our hearts. People record everything: concerts, fireworks, special moments with friends, even sunsets. We’re so busy trying to capture the perfect shot or video that we often forget to truly experience what’s happening in front of us.

Instead of locking those moments into our memories and feeling them fully, we trade them for digital files that, let’s be honest, we’ll probably only look at once or twice. We’ve become obsessed with documenting every second for social media or just to have a record of everything, and in the process, the magic of the moment slips right through our hands. It’s as if the approval we get from likes and views or the need to have everything saved outweighs the real experience.

What’s ironic is that the most powerful experiences can’t always be captured on a screen. The sounds, the smells, the emotions, that indescribable feeling of being there… all of that gets lost when our focus is on our phones and not on the world around us. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is put our phones away, take a deep breath, and let that memory sink in, where it will last far longer than any digital file ever could.
