You play as Anon, a lonely, faceless, nobody, reject who finds himself in the dinosaur themed acid trip of a school named Volcano High. Here Anon meets the qt ptero known as Fang and their clown-vomit colored posse of reject friends and other associated thorns-in-the-side. All of whom, you can read about here.
In Snoot, the player is a human character appropriately named Anon attending the Goodbye Volcano High dinosaur high school. What follows seems to be pretty standard visual novel fare: Anon is trying to keep his head down and just get through school as uneventfully as possible but the colorful cast of characters breaks him out of his shell.
While parody games are usually a dime-a-dozen, Snoot grew noteworthy on /v/ for not only satirizing Goodbye Volcano High, but also for being very good. Online, the reactions have been very positive among players—albeit with a healthy dose of renewed mockery on the original Goodbye Volcano High game.
Meanwhile, there's still no news on when the actual Goodbye Volcano High is coming out, though it is rumored the dev Discord has banned talk of Snoot.
