Gathering the flowers in a garden.
Lovely moonchild
Drifting on the echoes of the hours.
Sailing on the wind
In a milk white gown
Dropping circle stones on a sun dial
Playing hide and seek
With the ghosts of dawn
Waiting for a smile from a sun child.

Moonchild - King Crimson


Finally, after a year I finished my Moonchild. This was one of those drawings in which I wanted everything to be perfect, so I spent hours and hours to make it right, but perfectionist me was never satisfied. Then I realized that I have this skill now and I won’t be able to make it much better than this now, so I decided to stop and finish it now.

Moonchild is a character that I use as a personification of me and my life. She has all the symbols I like the most —the moon, stars, and moths— and we share the same moon tattoo on a finger. The moon on her head changes to all the phases the moon has and I use it mostly as a visual representation of her moods.

This portrait is the half of a project I have in mind. I still have to draw the other half, which involves a Sunchild.
