A woman’s skin came off in her partner’s mouth after they melted a giant gummy bear into a liquid to use in the bedroom.
The couple, who recalled the awkward incident on TLC’s Sex Sent Me To The ER, had previously brought candle wax into their foreplay and were excited by the idea of experimenting with food – until disaster struck.
Michael revealed he had melted the giant sweet in the microwave and then poured it onto his partner’s chest.
‘It was hot,’ his girlfriend Josie said. ‘In my head I’m comparing it to things like candle wax and I’m like it’s going to instantly start cooling down.
‘My chest was on fire.’
Unfortunately, the boiling hot gummy was not cooling down, so in an attempt to help ease the situation, Michael tried to lick it off his partner.

However, Michael was quickly left crying out in pain as Josi’s skin began to peel off and his mouth burned.
‘It was skin from my chest,’ she told the cameras.
The couple rushed to A&E where they later discovered that Josi had suffered third-degree burns because of their kinky endeavour.

While they were in the medical room, a doctor explained to them how dangerous it was to use scolding hot sugar and explained that it is very difficult to remove from skin because it continues to burn.
‘Burns are relatively common in the ER, they’re relatively uncommon self-inflicted like this,’ Dr Jordon Moskoff said.
‘I’ve never seen someone purposefully burn themselves with molten gummy candy.’

‘For both of us it really was humbling to say the least,’ Michael said of the situation.
‘We do make sure to do a bit more thorough research into our endeavours.’
Is this worse than when a man was rushed to the emergency room after a sex session with his girlfriend resulted in his penis getting stuck in their bedroom door? We can’t tell.
